Anthroposophic medical training is a complementary integrative approach based on the anthroposophic understanding of the human being and nature, health and disease . It integrates conventional medical knowledge with artistic and nature-based therapies to support overall well-being and address health issues. The World Health Organization (WHO) published its international benchmarks for training in Anthroposophic Medicine in 2023, including physicians, nurses, dentists, pharmacists, and anthroposophic art therapists.

Swaasthyakala Niketan, is a branch of the Rudolf Steiner Painting School in Dornach. It is a member of iARTe (International Association of Anthroposophic Art Therapies Education) and is recognised by the Medical Section of the School of Spiritual Science at the Goetheanum, Dornach Switzerland. The initiators and chief carriers of the art therapy training are Dr. Wahida Shaikh Murthy and Caroline Chanter. The training consists of painting with plant-based pigments, clay modelling, black and white drawing, research & clinical study. Medical lectures are given throughout the training. |
