SwasthyaNiketan Integrated Healthcare & Research Foundation envisions improving the quality of life of cancer patients and offering relief from pain and suffering through integrative, complementary, and holistic treatment approaches. Our aim is to research cancer medicines derived from mistletoe extract and make them easily available to support effective and compassionate integrative oncology treatment.
Cancer treatment modalities such as surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and immunotherapy often come with significant side effects, both physical and psychological. As a result, not only the patient but also the entire family is impacted physically, emotionally, and financially.
One of the latest advances in integrative cancer treatment is a therapy with European Herbal extracts. This aligns with our mission to alleviate patients’ suffering, improve quality of life, and complement conventional treatments by reducing the side effects of modern medicine.
Why use European Herbal extracts for cancer treatment ?
- Increased effectiveness of conventional therapies when used as an adjuvant treatment
- Reduction of side effects and stimulation of the body’s innate defense mechanisms
- Potential inhibition of tumor growth and metastasis
- Reduction in pain
- Reduced recurrence rates
- Improved quality of life
Currently, this medicine with European Herbal extracts is not manufactured in India and must be imported. As a result, many medical institutions and patients remain unaware of its potential benefits. Although approved channels exist to import the medicine, it remains inaccessible to a large section of patients because the process is cumbersome and very expensive due to logistical difficulties associated with individual imports.
Dr. Wahida Murthy and Dr. Vijayalakshmi Jayannavar, both allopathic physicians with over 35 years of clinical experience, established SwasthyaNiketan Integrated Healthcare and Research Foundation in 2020 as a Section 8 not-for-profit organization. Our initiative focuses on making this anticancer medicine affordable and easily available in India through Indian regulatory procedures.
