3 year Further Training in Anthroposophic Art Therapy

Caroline Chanter

Caroline Chanter was born in 1950 in Singapore and brought up in England. She studied art at colleges in Exeter and in Leeds.
After graduating from the ‘Margarethe Hauschka School for Artistic Therapy’ in Germany and work experience in anthroposophical hospitals, she joined the ‘Anthroposophical Medical Practice’ in Forest Row and the faculty of ‘Tobias School of Art’ in East Grinstead.
Between 1988 and 1999 she was a pupil of Gerard Wagner. First by attending painting therapy summer workshops at the ‘Paracelsus Klinik’ in Unterlengenhardt, Germany, and then from 1993 as a full-time student at the ‘Goetheanum Painting School’ in Dornach, Switzerland. From this great painter she was able to develop a deeper understanding of painting as a healing art. She now teaches painting and painting therapy at the ‘Rudolf Steiner Painting School’ in Dornach.
Together with Dr Wahida Murthy she founded the further training in painting therapy at Swaasthyakala Niketan, Bangalore, India.
She is the author of several books about Gerard Wagner, and his method of painting which evolved from Rudolf Steiner’s indications for a new art.
